2018 Entrant registrations are now open!
It's up to you if you wish to enter your car into judging and competition. Alternatively, you can register your car and come along to be a part of the event and show off your pride and joy.
Red CentreNATS will be held in Alice Springs, with the two main hubs at Blatherskite Park and Alice Springs Inland Dragway, as well as scrutineering and motorkhana events at Lasseters Centre for Entertainment.
The fourth Red CentreNATS will be held in Alice Springs on Friday 31 August, Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September 2018. Please note that Blatherskite Park will not be open on Thursday 30 August during Scrutineering and Registration.
The local community is encouraged to participate. We are especially looking for volunteer officials to assist on the ground and get close to the action. It is envisaged that training and mentoring will be a key component of the Summernats involvement.
Yes, the event is an automotive lifestyle festival that will provide entertainment for the entire family. There will be a range of ticketed events with the ticket prices subsidised by the Northern Territory Government. Children 13 years and under will be free.

A variety of food stalls, soft drinks, bottled water and alcoholic beverages can be purchased. When purchasing alcoholic beverages you must have a present form of identification which shows that you are 18 years or older.
No food, drinks, alcohol, illegal substances, glass or dangerous objects are allowed into the event. Patrons are not permitted to bring their own esky's into any venue.
No, there will be no camping facilities available at the event venues however there are plenty of camping and caravan park options available in Alice Springs.

Yes, patrons are permitted to bring their own fold-up chairs.
ATMs will be available inside both Blatherskite Park and Alice Springs Inland Dragway for your convenience.
Lost property can be handed in to the Spectator Gate at Blatherskite Park or Alice Springs Inland Dragway.
During the opening hours of the event, security will be in place at the venues. There will also be overnight security at Blatherskite Park and Alice Springs Inland Dragway, however owners leave their vehicles onsite at their risk.
Parking space for trucks and trailers will be available at Blatherskite Park over the weekend of Red CentreNATS. There will be security on hand during the event and overnight from Thursday until Sunday night, however owners leave their vehicles onsite at their risk.
There will be ample room for car parking at Blatherskite Park & Alice Springs Inland Dragway.
There will be designated smoking areas at most venues unless otherwise restricted through legislation and venue operators.
At Blatherskite Park, all enclosed areas are smoke free. There will be designated smoking ‘pods’ clearly marked at Blatherskite Park. For the comfort of patrons we ask you smoke in the designated areas. Smoking is not permitted near any food area, bar, children’s playground, exhibition or car display areas.
The climate in Alice Springs and the Red Centre region is semi-arid. You can expect the typical four seasons: hot summer days from December to February, a cool winter from June to August, and warm days and cool nights during spring and autumn.
September (in the Spring) is the best time to visit Central Australia – on average you can expect a temperatures up to 30 degrees in the day time and below 10 degrees overnight.
Check the weather before making your trip but remember the weather can be unpredictable so it is best to come well prepared.
