The Ultimate Festival of Wheels is set to return to Alice Springs on Father’s Day weekend 2018 and will be bringing some of Australia’s favourite artists to headline the Rock N Rumble and Podium Party concerts.
Celebrating everything on four wheels, the Red CentreNATS, in association with Summernats is a three day event from the 31st August to 2nd September, showcasing the very best in street machines, elite show cars, hot rods, classics & exotics. The entertainment on offer includes Australia’s largest Street Parade, the Burnout Masters, drag racing, live music and much more.
This year’s event will feature two stellar concerts at Blatherskite Park with The Veronicas headlining the Rock and Rumble concert on Saturday night and Dr. Elephant headlining the Podium Party on Sunday evening.
‘There have also been some exciting changes made to the program aimed at allowing more fun for entrants, tourists and everyone in Alice Springs. The Street Parade has been moved to the Saturday afternoon allowing more spectators to both witness spectacle of the convoy forming up and line the streets of Alice. There will be Father’s Day entertainment on Sunday and the Podium Party presentations and entertainment have been moved to Blatherskite Park where everyone is invited’ said NT Major Events General Manager Tim Watsford.
‘The Red CentreNATS is the only automotive event in Australia that provides temporary permits for highly modified unregistered vehicles to cruise the streets throughout the weekend. It is a massive draw card for entrants not only within the Territory, but right across the country. Entrant registration is due to close on July 1 so get in quick to be involved’
